The Podcast Story

In 2021 Anthony created the Diakonos: A Cop's Calling podcast to push back agains the anti-police narrative and give police officers a seat at the table to tell their stories. He was disturbed by the fact that deference was being given to criminals and that the police, those established by God to praise good and crush evil (Romans 13:3-4), were being attacked by many, including those who had historically supported this honorable profession. Anthony carried on the Diakonos podcast into 2023 interviewing police officers, pastors, lawyers, and those with past criminal backgrounds.

Anthony has known Gary Lowe for over 20 years, working closely with him when they were both assigned as officers on the Selective Enforcement Unit (SEU) in the Lancaster City Bureau of Police. They have a shared camaraderie forged on the job and most importantly through their shared faith in Jesus Christ.

Gary became a regular guest on the Diakonos: A Cop's Calling podcast and was featured regularly on "Lowe Expectation" episodes where they talked about current events related to law enforcement and often in light of their faith. In 2023 Anthony stopped creating new content on Diakonos: A Cop's Calling and Gary and Anthony created the Lowe Expectations podcast in 2024 where they continue to create new content bringing light into the dark corners of culture. Lowe Expectations aims to entertain and educate as these two veteran cops banter about police work, current events, and life in a confused culture.
