Lowe Expectations
(Pictured: Gary on duty as a detective with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police)
Gary Lowe has been a police officer for 23 years and is currently employed as a criminal investigator. Prior to his current agency he served on the Lancaster City Bureau of Police in Pennsylvania for over 22 years, retiring from that department as a detective. During his career with Lancaster City he received numerous commendations and awards to include but not limited to Investigator of the Year and Outstanding Enforcement. Gary served in the patrol division, the Selective Enforcement Unit (SEU), and spent the last 14 years of his career in the Criminal Investigation Division as a detective. Gary was a member of the Lancaster County Special Emergency Response Team (SWAT) for several years while employed with Lancaster City. While assigned to SEU, Gary did undercover work and was recruited by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police to do undercover work in their city as well. His work in SEU was directly responsible for the arrests of hundreds of suspects involved in drug trafficking and violent crime. The majority of his career was spent as a detective, primarily investigating sex crimes, many of which children were the victims. He was a dedicated and highly respected detective by his peers. In this role as a detective he was also a task force officer with the FBI.
Gary was one of Anthony's first podcast guests on his original podcast, Diakonos: A Cop's Calling and quickly became a regular guest before he and Anthony started this podcast. Like Anthony, Gary is a Christian who believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for our confused culture.
